FPPL

The First Peoples Principles of Learning emphasize holistic, experiential, and relational education, which deeply resonates with my role as a teacher in British Columbia. These principles remind me that learning is not just about academics but also about fostering connections, identity, and personal growth. I strive to create a classroom where students see learning as embedded in history, memory, and community, valuing diverse perspectives and lived experiences. By integrating Indigenous knowledge, storytelling, and land-based learning, I can help students develop a sense of belonging and responsibility, ensuring education is meaningful, inclusive, and rooted in respect for all cultures.
